MVHS Patient Winter Weather Donation Drive

Throughout the month of December we will be collecting winter weather wear to help keep our community warm.

If nothing else, the past few weeks of winter storms have shown just how necessary proper winter clothing is.

Without adequate winter wear we are exposed to many threats which can include:

  • Hypothermia
  • Pneumonia
  • Cold and flu.

To help combat this issue we are running a Winter Weather Donation Drive until Saturday, January 4, 2020. Items will be donated to both our patients as well as members of our community!

Who can participate?

Anyone and everyone can participate in this awesome cause. We welcome outside organizations and MVHS employees  to join in. You are welcome to pass this along to family and friends as well. The more the merrier!

What type of items can I donate?

We will accept any new with tags or gently used and washed items. You might consider donating items such as coats, snow pants, snow suits, hats, head bands, ear warmers, gloves, mittens, boots, socks, scarves, cowls and more.

How do I participate?

Participating in the winter weather donation drive is simple! Just purchase new (with tags) or gently used (and washed) items and bring them to any of our drop off locations:

  • Faxton Campus – Communications Office, Third Floor
  • Elizabeth Campus – Cafeteria
  • Elizabeth Campus – Administration Office, Karen Burton
  • Luke’s Campus – Nursing Administration Office, Michele Blatt
  • Luke’s Campus – Cafeteria
  • Luke’s Campus – Volunteer Office, Basement-Level, Allen-Calder Wing

Community site offices can contact Millie Condon at mcondon@mvhealthsystem.org to arrange for pickup of the donated items.
